Fire Door Consultants was established by Dan Williams.

Dan has over 20 years experience as a firefighter, as well as qualifications in Fire Safety, Health and Safety, training and of course Fire Door Inspection. He is an affiliate member of the Insititute of Fire Safety Managers.

Dan established Fire Door Consultants after realising that the industry was saturated with companies from other areas of the fire safety industry trying to make a quick buck by training staff with a one day course and then sending them out on their own as independent contractors with little clue about what they’re doing.

The result? Easily rectifiable issues missed – compromising safety – and older fully functional fire doors condemned and replaced at massive expense to companies because they’ve been needlessly judged against current building regulations.

Fire Door Consultants exists to correct that problem. All staff are fully trained, experienced and supported.

Fire door inspection is not straightforward and involves knowledge of a mass of fire safety regulations and best practice guidance, british and european standards, fire door construction, and both current and historic building regulations.

We will work with you to deliver exactly what you need, keeping building occupants safe whilst also considering your bottom line and offering realistic solutions to ensure compliance.
